The knives are of good, heavy quality and is a useful selection of different sizes and shapes

This is a great first knife set. The knives are of good, heavy quality and is a useful selection of different sizes and shapes. The santoku knife is on the smaller side but is still up to the task of dicing even an extra large red onion. The 8” Chef Knife, 8” Bread Knife, 8” Slicing Knife, and 3.5” Paring Knife are very solid and balanced in the hand. They are full tang knives with three rivets in a molded polymer handle.

Quality Knives

These are good quality knives with a good heft. The blades are sharp and (so far) have held and edge and cut well. The shape of the largest knife is a bit more curved that I personally prefer but that is entirely a personal preference and cutting style. The handles are smooth and shaped in a way that they feel nice in the hand.

These feel and cut like quality knives.

These knives are very nice looking. Very sharp and good quality. Note that the blades are not stainless steel though, so extra care to prevent rust will be needed. The knife block is narrow so it doesn't take up much counter space. Highly recommend this set for the standard household.

Not too big into cooking, but dang thats a nice set of knives!

So, i dont cook too much, but I eat a lot of fresh fruit, and make a lot of sandwiches. So, i can at least say I know a sharp knife when I use one. I also like quality things, and a house mate is a foodie person and has some very expensive Japanese chefs knifes, and they feel like theyre on the quality level of these ones. But obviously his knifes are made of more special steel. But what im saying is as someone who likes quality items, and appreciates a sharp knife, this set is a pleasure to use. Everything about these makes me believe whats said on one of the included cards in the box, which says something like "if you take care of these knives theyll outlast you!" As long as you treat them as the quality item it is, itll repay you in lasting sharpness. Or something...

Just get them if you wanna step your slicing game up in the kitchen and make preparing food more fun. Lol seriously i love seeing how thin I can slice an apple :)
